I always find it difficult to remember my entire year; heck, I have trouble remembering yesterday.

So, last January... Well I started my second semester at Augustana. I took another English class, a math class, two drama classes (an improv one and the play), choir, and Greek and Roman mythology. I actually quit my job at the local theatre. My last shift was on January 5th. I had worked there for three and a half years!

I didn`t have time to work during the second semester as I had to rehearse (for the play) most nights of the week. The play was Spring`s Awakening. I`m not sure when we performed but I think it might`ve been the end of February. I did pretty well in all my classes but I was glad when exams finished at the end of April. I remember trudging to my exams through about two feet of snow.

At some point in February or March I must`ve decided that I wanted to apply for Katimavik. I enjoyed my year at Augustana but since I had no idea what I wanted to do with my life. I decided that going back to school in September would be a waste (of both time and money). So, as aforementioned, I applied for Katimavik. It wasn`t until part way through May that I knew I`d been accepted.
A couple days after my last exam in April the Augustana choir (my choir) went to Italy. Singing in those old churches was incredible. With the choir I went to Venice, Florence, Pisa, and Rome. After a week the choir tour ended. However, the agency that booked our tour had gotten us open ended tickets so if we wanted to stay longer we could.

My friend Jen and her friend Amelia were travelling around Europe for a few months. We met up in Rome and then we went to Naples and Sorrento together. After a week with them I flew home.

For the summer I got a job at Booster Juice. They were great. I was able to get all the time that I needed for Passion Play off.

Passion Play this year was AWESOME! Thanks to everybody who came to see it. I can`t wait to be in it again next year! In August I moved back home. I`d had a great time living with Jeff in town but I figured it would be easier for me to move home and then pack for Katimavik later, rather than packing and moving at the same time.

On September 24th I left for Katimavik. I am living in Trois-Rivieres, Quebec with my group and our group leader (Mira). There used to be 10 other people in my group besides myself but 3 have since gone home. In my group now, there is Ashley, 18, from Campbell River, BC; Joanne, 19, from Winnipeg; Scott, 18, from Hamilton, ON; Tiffany, 17, from Toronto; Alexandre, 17, from Sherbrooke, QC; Yani, 17, from Montreal; and Antoine, 18, from Beaumont, QC.

See you next year!!
I have been working with Ashley at a day-home for severley handi-capped people called La Maison Grandiose. My French has been slowly improving during my time here but it is still very poor. On January 14th we will leave for Goose Bay, NL. Our next group leader`s name is Denis. After that we go to Ontario for three Months. I will be home at the end of June. The whole group has to stay here for Christmas so we can celebrate together. It should be a lot of fun but I will miss you all.

On that note, have a very merry Christmas! God bless.
