Wow - another year has come and gone. We're so blessed with our family and friends. A year ago we celebrated mom and dad's 50th wedding anniversary (Boxing Day) - lots of fun! From there we headed to Jasper for a couple of days on the slopes with the kids. Pierre and Lynn were there at the same time with Amy and Sean - it was so much fun! ... and no injuries this time around... January brought changes to our home as Ted decided to embark on a new position with the City of Wetaskiwin. It was a big decision - but a good move. January 15th was a very exciting day in Camrose, as the Olympic Torch made its way thru town. The school was shut down for a few hours, as we all took part in the festivities!

Spring was hectic with graduation plans and Laura returning home for the summer. This was the summer of unbelievable grass growth!!! Nuts! This summer I usually cut two, sometimes three-times a week (4-hours each time) - no additional exercise was required. The grass was still growing in September! This was also the year to repaint our deck. Of course the worst part was scraping - scraping - scraping off the old stain. It sure looks good now! (That is the last time I will do that job. Next time . . . new, maintenance-free deck.)

Getting to attend the "Olympic Torch festivities" with the entire school! |
Sue and I 'taking a break' on our snowmobile ride. |
Although our weather was not great last summer - it was still a great summer! ..... "Girls' night visiting on the deck at the lake" ..... "Camping with friends at Pelican Point" .... "Air show with Ted in Wetaskiwin".... watching the Passion Play in Drumheller (having an excellent meal at the Greek restaurant with mom, dad and Ted) ...... Having a great trip to Rosebud to watch 'Oliver" with Viv - do a little shopping - and back to the Greek restaurant for another excellent meal! .....

This Fall brought its own stress, with the implementation of a new computer information system for our school division. We're working thru it.... the program is fondly referred to as "Deadwood" or "Maplewouldn't" . . . Anyways, I'm enjoying my Christmas Break - and am counting down 'the sleeps' until Ted and I are off to Whistler - I'm so happy we will be able to visit with some very dear friends in January!
Merry Christmas! Louise

I spent a lot of time on the Deck this summer, scraping and painting. We hired some of Spencer's friends to help, but it was still a lot of work. Now it looks great!! |

Ted and I learned how to "Stand Up Paddle Board" Here we are in West Edmonton Mall pool. Many mornings, Ted and I went for a paddle down the lake in front of our house. It is more fun that it looks!! |

We had a great Snow Boarding Holiday just after Christmas last year with Pierre and his family... |

Sean and Spencer with Uncle Charles. Charles is working for a cruise line based out of California, so we haven't seen him these past few months. I correspond with him often, and he seems to be having fun! Miss you Charles.... |
For extra fun - have a look at our Christmas Past !!! |
