The Farm |
|
Lots of trips to the farm again this year. Bernie and Carmen
are always happy to see us - and if we don't go and visit them - they come
and visit us. They have a wonderful sense of family that also extends
to friends and neighbours. Often when we are there, friends will drop
by unexpectedly, always receiving wonderful hospitality.
Spencer and Laura always enjoy driving the old "Merc" truck in the fields. It is STANDARD EVERYTHNIG - arm-strong steering, and you have to double clutch to get into first gear. It's great experience. The cats at the farm were especially friendly this year. The grandkids love to hold and pet them. I'm not sure that all the attention is good training for the winter months alone - I hope they survive...... |

Canada Day Our friends Laurie and Jim hosted Canada Day again. The annual water fight was ... WET ... as usual. The kids are getting smarter - so the parents are getting wetter. I remember the good old days when you could just pinch the hose, and the kids would think the water had stopped..... Laurie out did herself again with another Crafty Canada Day Tee-Shirt Project. |
