Louise

We started the New Year with many trips to Rabbit Hill. As far as snowboarding goes, I must be improving - because my knees are feeling much better. In March we had another excellent trip to Sunshine/Nakiska with the kids and in April we attended Sean's grad.

Sean's grad was a lovely affair - but I was surprised to learn that our "quiet" nephew was actually the "class clown."

I'm still enjoying my job as librarian, and have many cute stories to tell the family... like the kindergarten boy who likes to say "good morning Mrs. McGinsky" (and when I suggested he try 'Gillespie' one time, he replied "no, that's too hard").

We had another fun summer trip to Nitinat. I felt rather pampered in our motorhome. Like Spencer said when we arrived at the campsite in the rain "this is so cool, we don't even have to get out."

It was sure special to spend a day with the Carlisles, on the way home, and to have an evening BBQ on a beach in Vancouver, - where we got to enjoy the fireworks after meeting baby Quinn.

I was lucky to return to Vancouver in August with my girlfriend Kathy for a weather-perfect 4-day holiday... (sigh).... talk, walk, shop, eat, talk, walk, shop, eat. I returned home in time to prepare our guest room for Céline (our Rotarian house guest) who arrived near the end of August.

We enjoyed many trips to the farm again this year... and looked forward to hearing about Charles' plans for playing his music aboard a Royal Caribbean cruise ship for 6 months. Charles has been gone for a month now - and we wish him well.

In September, Laura, Céline & I enjoyed an excellent evening in Edmonton at the production of Mamamia! (ABBA) - with Memère & Pepère, Pierre, Lynn, Amy & Sean.

Since the school year began, Ted & I have assumed our roles as chauffeur. Many evenings it feels like we're a tag team. I've really been looking forward to this Christmas break.  Have a wonderful New Year everyone!
