As you might recall, last fall I volunteered with Katimavik. By the second week of January, my group moved from Quebec to Labrador. I loved Labrador! It was beautiful and the people were awesome.

However, it was daily becoming more and more obvious that Katimavik was not for me. After spending a wonderful week and a half with my billet family, the Hanrahans, I decided it was time to head home. I kinda felt bad for abandoning my group; but in my defence, I was the 7th person to leave early. I arrived home at the beginning of March (I think).

I then proceeded to spend a month and a half doing NOTHING - not as great as I would have imagined. In mid April, I got a job with the City of Camrose. For the most part I was repairing sidewalks, but I would occasionally be the flag person (Stop/Slow) for other work crews. It worked out great because since I was working Monday to Friday, I was still able to volunteer with the Passion Play, which was once again fantastic!

In September, I moved to Rosebud. It is a small town just outside Drumheller. I am a student at Rosebud School of the Arts. It is a Christian School that focuses on theatre and I've really been enjoying it so far. We take a variety of classes from dance to acting, to technical theatre (where we learn to hang lights, stage manage, etc.) I am really looking forward to next semester! Merry Christmas!!
