Once again Spencer has opted out of doing his own page..... Ahhhh, where to begin... Friends, volleyball and F.A.C.T. (early-morning fitness class) were a big part of last year. Spencer was once again part of his favorite group... "Big Drum", as well as part of the of the concert band at the high school. The high school music tour to Banff seemed to be a fun time to hang out with friends. Cousin Devon's graduation was a good reason to get all suited up and have some fun! |

Spencer enjoyed a couple of camp outs with his F.A.C.T. class. Heading to the mountains in the Spring and cycling out to Rosalind in the Fall (~30 km against a big headwind), and a mini Marathon Swim/Cycle/Run at the end of the year... He was in F.A.C.T. throughout his grade 11 school year - and enjoyed it so much that he's doing it again in grade 12 this year. |

The grocery store where Spencer had been working part time decided to close their doors last Spring... but, Spencer was fortunate to land a seasonal full-time position in 'Renovations' at our Wal-Mart super centre for the summer. Since his return to school last Fall, he has not been working. That is fine with us, as he has a heavy course load this year (all three sciences and Math 31), so he has a bit more time for studying - which he is actually doing!! I think he is enjoying having one less commitment. |
| Spencer played in Club Volleyball last winter, and on the Senior High School Volleyball team again this Fall. Their coach arranged for them to make a trip to UBC to play in a volleyball tournament - what an experience! He enjoyed the tournament - the campus - and being able to visit with our good friends Caitlyn and Carolyn while he was there. His team won the Area and Zone championships. Spencer is pleased that we finally have a "decent amount of snow" - and is looking forward to spending lots of time outside this winter. |
