Enjoying the "new" boat!
...hmmmm.... Where to begin. I think I'll look back at our calendar. January / February were pretty quiet.... and I was still 'missing our girl'. Adrien arrived in the New Year, to begin his six-month stay in Camrose. Laura arrived home at the beginning of March - in time to join us for some snowboarding fun in Banff.

Our Spring seemed soooo cool, for soooo long. I was anxious to be warm again. Ted and I were pleased to be invited to Lindsay & Rob's wedding in May... a very special day. At the beginning of July, I was able to join Ted in Banff - he was participating in a risk-management session, while I spent my time walking / shopping / and relaxing... I enjoyed meeting several new friends! Finally some nice weather, it was a nice get-away. We headed back home via Drumheller - to watch Laura in the 'Passion Play'. Mom & Dad drove down with Fallon and Hillary to meet us for the performance, picking up Adrien, in Camrose, on their way.

Ted and I, Laura & Spencer, drove down to Airdrie to celebrate Devon's graduation at the beginning of June. What fun! Even got to camp in the snow! (...not quite what I had expected...)

With the kids both busy working full time last summer - we spent our holidays at home.... that was a first! We had a lot of great evenings spent on the water. I was also pleased that we were able to replace several of our house windows. (No more painting window trims!)

The 'Snowbirds' July performance in Camrose was a highlight. What a fabulous show! A few days after the Camrose show, we headed off to the Cold Lake Air Show. We had a super visit with Ted's aunt Ina and uncle Ray. We had never been to Cold Lake before - wow! What a great place.

Skidooing on the Battle River!

Windsurfing at home!
From there we headed to Long Lake to visit with Pierre and Lynn - Amy & Sean.... Unfortunately Memère and Pepère weren't able to join us - because Pepère had had a bad fall and broken several ribs! We were all pretty worried... August turned out to be a very exciting month - as we purchased our new boat! I love it!

September brought more changes. Laura was off to "Rosebud School of the Arts" - it was nice to see her so happy. We've already made a few trips to Rosebud.... there have been performances to watch, items to bring down to Laura, and just lately - a Christmas concert to enjoy!
Ted and I were also kept busy this Fall with Spencer's volleyball schedule - we've always enjoyed watching Spencer play.

Now that I've survived the first few hectic months of the new school year, I'm hoping things will settle into an even pace at work. I'm pretty lucky to work where I do - just wish there were more hours in the day....

Merry Christmas!
Louise
