In July, Charles and Claire came home for a visit. They started with Carmen and Bernie, then spent time with Brian and Paulette at their home on Lake Isle. From there they headed to Vernon to spend time with Pierre and Lynn - then headed back to Calgary to see Marc and Tina. From Calgary they headed up to Rosebud to visit with Laura and take in a performance of "Joseph and the Technicolor Dreamcoat" before arriving at our home for a visit. What a whirl-wind trip .... but so great for all of us to see them.... and for them to visit a few locations before heading back to England. The weather was fabulous for our visit - so we got out on the boat and taught Charles how to wakesurf! Charles also got out on skis and proved to us that he isn't getting any older! Louise commented that seeing him on skis, sure reminded her of her dad back in the day - when she was a kid at Lake Isle. One of the evenings was spent on the deck with our little 'portable fire-pit' and the propane heater. The second night we had a lovely visit indoors - as a thunderstorm rolled through. Charles and Claire took our E-Bikes for a spin. I think they liked them.... We had a wonderful time hosting them, I hope they had as much fun with us! Louise and I called up Marc and Tina at the last minute, hoping we might be able to stay at their place for a night to break up the drive as we were on our way to Vernon to visit Pierre and Lynn. They suggested we stay for a couple of days, and told us that they were mostly living out at their cabin at Ghost Lake - so we should meet them there. We pulled up to the Gate and texted Marc so he could let us in. He texted back saying he was on his way . . . texting, driving, drinking a beer and not wearing a seat belt. He showed up a minute later on his golf cart with a big grin on his face.	Marc Wakesurfing
Ted on his Foil board	They took us out boating a few times and gave us a tour of the lake. We did some wake surfing, and I tried to teach Marc how to wake foil - but he was having serious back issues - so didn't try it. Some friends of his did try it, and I think they are hooked. Taylor was busy with her friends the first day, but did some wakesurfing with us the second day. Carter had been working, so was back in Calgary. On the second night, we went back to their home in Calgary and Marc took us out to the Golf Course that he manages, for supper (Valley Ridge). He seems to be very popular with his staff. It is a fabulous place with excellent food and service. Marc really knows how to run a business! We had a wonderful time, and it was great to see and re-connect with Taylor and Carter. We can't thank them enough for all of their wonderful hospitality!

From Calgary, we drove out to Vernon to Pierre and Lynn's condo on Okanogan Lake. They had invited us out for a few days, and we were very pleased to accept. It was quite smokey from the wildfires, but that didn't stop us from enjoying the water. We spent our days out on the water, either paddle boarding or boating, (or maybe in the pool); and our evenings, chatting and playing cards. We had an amazing time! They have a beautiful place, and we felt very privileged that they shared it with us for a few days!	Lynn and Chili
