We hosted the 2012 Wetaskiwin Airshow in August. I was able to gain good access for my photos, and also was privileged to go along on the Media Ride with Ross Granley in his Yak 18t. He flew formation with his dad, Bud Granley who had CHED reporter Thomas Dias in his T-6 Harvard. After some interesting aerobatics, I could see Ross looking around for Bud. I guess Thomas had decided he had had enough and asked to be flown back to the airport..... Fun while it lasted. Here are a few of the 2000 photos that I took.....

Kent Pietsch flying his Jelly Berry 1942 Interstate Cade Unfortunately, after the first day's airshow, Kent took off on a short flight to find his missing aileron (part of the act is that the aileron falls off). His engine stalled and he missed his approach. He was not seriously hurt, but there was a lot of damage to the aircraft, so it did not fly the second day.
